The extension only runs on an allowlist

• By default it only requests Chrome Web Store, Edge Add-ons and Product Hunt host permissions — no tabs permission.
• Website detection is opt-in via optional permissions; matching is local against a domain hash list and nothing is sent unless it matches.
• On allowlisted pages only a product ID is sent. We never read or upload your browsing history.
• In-page cards use Shadow DOM, never alter the host page, and can be disabled per site in one click.

What we store

• An anonymous install ID (random, generated locally) and its usage counts for the free quota.
• If signed in: email, name, plan, usage events, purchases and reports. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store card numbers.
• For abuse prevention we keep only a salted hash of your IP to rate-limit new installs.
• For each install: which store (Chrome / Edge) and browser it came from, the extension version, the date it first opened a signal card and the most recent day it was used (latest only, no history) — to count activation and active installs.

Anonymous usage statistics (off by default)

• Sent only after you opt in on the welcome page, side panel or settings; turn it off anytime in settings, which immediately clears unsent data on your device.
• It only records which features you used (e.g. opened the side panel, clicked a deep view), enumerated states (e.g. signed in or not, type of revenue estimate, whether a view was charged), plus extension version, install store, browser type, UI language, install date and days since install. No URLs, products viewed, search terms, email or account data.
• It uses a random statistics ID unrelated to your install ID or account, is sent to RankLens’s own servers (no third-party analytics), kept for 13 months, and deleted with "Delete local data".

Feedback and uninstall survey

• Feedback you submit (the "Are these numbers right?" vote, the feedback page, the uninstall survey) stores what you wrote, an optional contact, the related product, plus extension version, store and browser type — no install ID, account or IP.
• To prevent spam we keep an IP hash salted with a daily-rotating salt, used only for same-day rate limits and cleared after 30 days. Feedback is kept for 24 months; contact us via the feedback page to delete it.
• After uninstalling, the browser opens the survey page; its URL only carries extension version, store, browser type and days since install.

Launch alerts, sale alerts and waitlists

When you leave your email for a launch alert, a sale alert or the Team waitlist, we store only the email and where you signed up (e.g. hero / pricing). It is used solely to send the one email you asked for — never for marketing and never shared. We delete it within 30 days after that email is sent; unsent sign-ups are deleted automatically after 12 months. To delete it sooner, reply to the email or use the feedback page.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

RankLens complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: data is used only to provide features, never sold, never used for ads, never transferred to third parties.

We do not sell data

We never sell, rent or trade your data to anyone.

Delete your data

Signed-in users can delete everything at Account. Anonymous users can use "Delete local data" in the extension settings, or submit their install ID below.

Where data lives

Servers are hosted outside mainland China; we do not process mainland platform data.
